In Jay’s session, “2025 Leadership  Experience: Redefining Talent and the Future of Work,” he will use his epic personal energy and experience to share insights, strategy, predictions and powerful illustrations of what the future holds. This session encourages and provokes thoughts around the future of talent  management and how we need to be shaping it before it shapes us.
Cheryl will present the session “Lead with 20/20 Vision.” She will discuss the challenges HR professionals will face now and in the future, including ongoing global change, technological innovation and changing workplace dynamics. NOHRC 2015 is finally here!

Bring your HR department to NOHRC!

Many Northeast Ohio employers have been taking advantage of our group discount for HR departments at the Northern Ohio Human Resource Conference (NOHRC), to be held Friday, March 20, 2015 and that we’d love to have your company join us!

For 49 years, NOHRC has been one of the premier events hosted by the Cleveland Society of Human Resource Management (CSHRM).  This one -day conference is focused on providing education and development on current trends within the HR profession, networking opportunities, and the opportunity to interact with approximately 100 vendors providing the latest in products and service.  Also, we will be seeking recertification credits for both the HRCI and SHRM certifications so it’s a great opportunity for your certified employees to gain credits.

This year, we are proud to announce that we will have Libby Sartain as our Luncheon Keynote Speaker.  Libby is the former head of HR with Yahoo! Inc. and Southwest Airlines as well as former Chairman of SHRM.  Our opening Keynote will be Scott Burrows, who will teach us to understand that adversity is not a setback, but an opportunity to grow both personally, and professionally.

NOHRC will be supporting Prayers From Maria at the 2015 Conference

The Cleveland SHRM Foundation  is proud to partner with Prayers from Maria as our 2014-2015 Non-Profit Partner.  You might recognize them by the mile long field of sunflowers on I-90.  Ed and Megan McNamara and friends planted the sunflowers for their daughter, Maria, who died on July 14, 2007, of a rare brain cancer. The Avon Lake couple started their group, prayersfrommaria.org, in their child’s honor because when the 7-year-old was hospitalized for her deadly cancer, she told her parents she was praying for the other children in the hospital. The idea behind this organization is “planting hope for children with brain tumors”. The flowers represent all the children out there with cancer, and by looking at the flowers it represents that there is always hope. The sunflower is a symbol of their daughter’s charity. NOHRC 2014 is finally here! Here is an overview on how NOHRC 2014 Navigates your Future. We have UNBELIEVABLE speakers coming from all over the country, including two keynote sessions and eighteen concurrent sessions this year. Kicking off our conference as the morning keynote speakers will be Jason Lauritsen and Joe Gerstandt of Talent Anarchy, providing a deeper understanding of innovation; our luncheon keynote speaker is Stuart Crabb from Facebook, who is going to show us how to effectively communicate to the current generational workforce. What awaits us during the conference are eighteen concurrent sessions with various and insightful topics, including strategy, benefits, performance management, diversity and etc. The entire program has been pre-approved by the HR Certification Institute for 5.25 re-certification credits of which 3 credits are considered for strategic management credit!
